Moderate

Join a certified archaeological guide to explore the secrets of Pompeii, the world's most significant Roman ruins. Walk the ancient streets and witness history preserved.

Prepare to walk among the remnants of the ancient Roman city, dramatically buried by incandescent lava and volcanic ash following the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Remarkably, streets, luxurious domus (villas), and even everyday objects and food items have been preserved, offering an extraordinary snapshot of daily life nearly two thousand years ago.

Your experience begins with a departure exclusively from the port of Naples, where you will meet our staff and board a comfortable vehicle. In approximately 30 minutes, you will travel from the modern coastal city to the timeless ruins of Pompeii.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a certified archaeological guide who will assist with ticket arrangements, ensuring a smooth and efficient entrance to the site.

Once inside the archaeological area, you will explore the foundations of Pompeii and admire its most iconic landmarks, including the impressive Thermal Baths, the majestic Basilica, and the famous Lupanare, the largest and most renowned brothel of the ancient world. Its vivid frescoes vividly illustrate the customs and atmosphere of the time. The tour also includes a stop at the Macellum, the city’s central food market, where the surrounding tabernae (shops) along the commercial streets evoke the lively heart of Pompeii’s economy.

The visit concludes at the House of the Faun, one of Pompeii’s most prestigious residences, named after the celebrated bronze statue discovered there. Along the way, there will be brief scenic stops offering excellent opportunities for memorable photographs.

The entire tour lasts approximately 3 hours, with at least one and a half hours dedicated to in-depth exploration of the archaeological site. The itinerary may be adjusted by your guide according to weather conditions, crowd levels, or ongoing restoration work, with alternative highlights included when necessary.

This immersive and unforgettable journey offers a rare opportunity to step back in time and experience the extraordinary legacy of Pompeii.
