Experience the rich culinary heritage of Malta with this walking tour in Valletta. Dive into the heart of our capital city, Valletta, through a unique journey that blends food, history, and culture.

Valletta’s history mirrors that of Maltese islands itself: a vibrant mix of influences from the various civilisations that ruled the island over the centuries. These influences are evident in everything from Valletta’s stunning architecture and artistic traditions to the diverse flavours of Maltese cuisine.

Founded by the Knights of St. John in the 16th century, Valletta quickly evolved into a cosmopolitan hub. Its strategic location made it a gateway for new ingredients and culinary practices from across the Mediterranean and beyond, shaping what we know today as traditional Maltese food.

Our Valletta food tour goes beyond typical sightseeing. We uncover the hidden stories behind Malta’s culinary traditions, offering insights you won’t find in guidebooks. Explore lesser-known aspects of Malta’s history while indulging in authentic Maltese food and drink at several stops along the tour.
